X-Ray Services

On Site Digital X-Ray and Processing

We have an onsite dedicated RPA approved X-ray room available for veterinary use by appointment. The main equipment comprises a portable High Frequency type X-ray battery powered generator (POSKOM PXM-40BT) providing easy operation and mobility for indoor and outdoor radiography.

Accessories include a mobile stand, plate holder, protective aprons and gloves etc.

The X-ray cassettes are processed using the latest CR technology; Agfa’s high speed CR30-X processor produces unrivalled image quality by using their patented MUSICA diagnostic software which delivers a high definition image to a touch screen monitor in less than a minute. The system is DICOM/PACS conformant and the images can be burnt to a disc for your records.

Mobile X-Ray and Ultrasound

Our mobile veterinary support unit is available for veterinary use by appointment. The vehicle is fully equipped with a portable X-ray generator and Agfa’s high speed CR30-X processor delivering high definition images to the touch screen monitor on site in less than a minute to facilitate prompt diagnosis of injuries. The unit contains the standard protective accessories required for X-ray activities and a diagnostic ultrasound system is also available on request. The vehicle is normally connected to the mains electrical supply by an extension lead however in circumstances where no power is available the entire system can be operated on battery power for a limited period. The mobile unit can be hired to standby at any equestrian event for the use of the duty vet.
